OS - Windows 8
I created a number of sticky note tool variants to annotate academic papers in some detail.
Suddenly the tool variants disappeared.
Clearly I can reconstruct the settings using the notes in the pdf files.
Is this disappearance to be expected?
Is there any way of storing current settings so that they can be reasserted? I am presuming this information is stored in a text file which could be copied.
Regards

Re: Sticky Note Tool
Hello FMSalter,
Welcome to our forums.
I would need to ask some questions to get a better understanding of the situation.
Is it the styles that you created that got lost or is it comments that you've placed in a document that disappeared?
If it's the styles - have you had a system restore or any other "repair" tool run on your machine between the time you created the styles and the time you tried to use them?
And if it's missing sticky notes that you placed before - is this the same copy of the document and have you e.g. opened the comments pane and maybe made changes to some comments from there and accidentally removed other comments at the same time?
Regards,
Stefan
