Feature Request: Multiple Comments/Annotations Selection

Post by teodorico.ramos »

Good day!

As an engineer working for a Semiconductor Company here in the Philippines,
we used PDF-XChange Viewer extensively in annotating/commenting documents.

There are times that we use it more often than MS Office (can you believe that?).
We (I and my colleagues) view this software as an indispensable tool to do our everyday documentation tasks.
It REALLY is a very good software, kudos to the developers.

For future improvements, we would like to request, if it is not too much,
- the ability to directly select multiple comments (like in MS Office)
- group multiple comments (not in the comment pane) but directly in the PDF page. (like in MS Office)

I know this is quite difficult due to the internal structure of PDF files but if this can be done, this software
will transform from very good to a GREAT (^_^) software.

Again Good Job to Tracker!

Hello Teodorico Ramos,

Welcome to our forums and many thanks for the kind words!

Multiple object selection is already possible in the new PDF-X Editor:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-editor
Which will very soon be ready to replace the current Viewer.

And as for grouping of objects - you can select more than one as a group - and then move them around in the Editor, but if you mean to make them a permanent group that can then be selected as s single object that's not possible and I am not sure if it can be done in a PDF file at all.

Regards,
Stefan
