Hi,
I'd like to know if it is possible to display comments (within the PDF document) by subject? I know it is possible by type and by author. I know too I can sort comments by subject in the comment window.
Thanks,
FM

Hi Francois,
Thanks for the post - this can be done by selecting the dropdown arrow, beside the "Group by" button, on the comments pane. At the bottom of the list that appears, you should be able to select the option to group by subject.
Cheers, hope that helps!

Re: Displaying comments with specific subject
Thanks Will, but it is not exactly what I need. I know I can group comments by subject within the comments pane.
But maybe I'm not clear. I'm used to highlight text and I use different subjects to identify those highlighted texts.
And I'd like to be able to display within the PDF file, within the text body, only those highlighted text with a specific subject.
Thanks,
François Maurice

Hello François Maurice,
Could you please provide us with screenshots illustrating that feature?

Re: Displaying comments with specific subject
O.K. Here's one screenshot in the attached pdf file.
There is some highlighted text at the right.
At the left, in the comments pane, highlighted texts are grouped by subject and there is 7 subjects.
Now, say I just want to display only highlighted texts with the following subject "Bunge2003EmergenceandConvergence - Relations". I don't want to see the others highlighted subjects for now.
I know that I can display all the comments, none of them, by type or by author. But can I display them by subject ?
Thanks,
François

Hi Francois,
If you click the + sign next to the subject group - it should expand and show you both comments with this subject. You can then click each of the highlights and the Viewer will take you to it's position in the document.
Alternatively you can use Comments -> Summarize Comments - and have the summary grouped by subject.
Regards,
Stefan
