export file size is 300 dpi do matter what settings I change

Post by glua »

I love PDF Xchange. I have convinced many users to use it.

I just tried to export several pages and no matter what I set the DPI the resulting file was 300 DPI.

I tried pages 9, 13, 14.

I can resize the JPEG files with another program but hoped I could do it one step. I thought there was a place to set the default DPI for exports but I can't locate it. Maybe that was in an older version.

I just updated the program yesterday.

I use Gmail Online so I couldn't get the reporting tool to work within PDF XChange.

Thanks,

Hi glua,

the DPI set in the Print Dialogue should be enough. It should be reflected in the Image Saving Options when you have JPEG selected. See my screen shot, when I change the DPI in the Print Dialogue the DPI in Options should also change. Are you seeing that? I was able to export at 600 DPI for example.

Are you seeing the same or different behaviour? What DPI are you trying to export at?

I was wrong. I should have know that XChange was right. I was making the change at the top and not the second change at the bottom.

The setting on the bottom was controlling the DPI of the output file.

Thanks for the speedy reply. Please forgive my error in not looking at the entire screen. :)
