Hello everyone,
I have problem - most of the time I have opened lot of documents(=pdf) in Viewer.
Sometimes need to restart the program (because it starts to have some problems with displaying documnts=half of page blank) - I understand this - I have the program for a long time started up = 1-2 weeks and everyday use it to open many documents, So I understand that it needs to be restarted sometimes.
Also I have to sometimes restart the computer, because after of many days of intensive work it starts to be slow (1-2 weeks, lot of documents opened = high usage of RAM,perhaps lot of files in TEMP).
So what happen is that after restarting program / computer the most of the opened documents will not pop up again and Im lost because I do not remember which I have opened. Only few and old documents are restored (the ones that I have opened cca 2 weeks ago).
I want to restore all documents in tabs afzer restarting the program that I have opened before restarting program / restarting PC.
Ofcourse I have checked preferences : preferences-general- After start restore documents that were last opened (sorry for not perfect translation of menu items-I have program in my native language and I dont know what is written there in english-but for sure meaning of translation is correct).
Thank you for tips.
SOME tabs = documents do not restore on program startup

Hello dech,
I believe the important piece of information here is that a lot of your files are in the TMP folder. I presume that you have not just closed the Viewer but also restarted the PC? This normally purges larger and older files from the temp folder, and later when the Viewer can not locate the files - it simply removes them from the list.
So you will need to make sure that all the files are copied in a location that will preserve them, and then closing the Viewer and reopening it later should restore your session.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: SOME tabs = documents do not restore on program startup
that sounds reasonably!
But If I dont want to bother with saving each document in to NON-temp folder (because I work with a LOT), is there a way how to change another default folder instead of windows temp folder?
=e.g. when document is opened from email attachment(from place into it cant be saved back) it would be saved automatically into predefined folder.
Ofcourse files that are opened from normal folder should stay there.
Perhaps it sounds like unreal request, but im just trying.

Hi dech,
Thanks for the post - as far as I'm aware, there isn't anyway to do this, but I believe that it may be that this is specified by the web browser or email client.
I'll double check this, but I likely won't be able to get an answer until next week. Hopefully that's acceptable?
Cheers,

Hi dech,
I can confirm that this is determined by the mail client etc - the Viewer simply opens the file that is passed to it. It has no control over where that file is.
