Hi,
Updating from 2.5.213.0 to 2.5.214.1 on Win7 & Win8 using the MSI installer, there is an error message that says there is already another version that needs to be uninstalled first. The disadvantage: the settings and track of the active PDF files would probably be lost.

Hello resurgent,
Yes the .msi packages can not be installed one over the other. You need to either use the patch files or uninstall the older build before installing the new one.
The better option would be to use the .exe installer.
As for settings - most of them should be preserved.
