Dear Tracker Team,
we are using your PDF XChange Viewer ActiveX component in our Software, and lately we encounter some problems.
we have a problem with a PDF-Document that was created with Adobe Acrobat Pro .
1.) I open the Document with the PDFXChange Viewer (It doesn’t matter if I use the ActiveX-Component or if I use the standalone PDF XChange Viewer)
2.) Then I add a sticky note and save the document.
3.) When I open the document again with the PDF XChange Viewer, everything is fine, but if I use the Adobe Reader XI to open the saved document it is corrupt (errorcode 14) When I try to read the document with ABC-PDF I get the following error: “Unable to find start of xref section. Error at "^%PDF-1.3 %âãÏÓ 1187 0 obj <</Fi" at offset 0”
It seems like the xref section of the document is corrupt.
I tested the problem already with the latest version of your PDF XChange Viewer (2.5.214.1.)
I sent you the corresponding files to 'support@pdf-xchange.com' via email.

Just for your info - we have tested internally with our own samples and cannot reproduce - so we would need more info from you - please ensure you include a link back to this forum message in any email sent for reference.
Thanks

Re: PDF is corrupt after saving with PDF XChange Viewer
Thanks for the samples Alois,
I've managed to reproduce that and just finished makng a ticket in our internal system:
#2303: Viewer AX SDK 2.5.214.1 corrupts a 1.3 PDF when adding annotations
That will allow my colleagues from the dev team to investigate and fix this.
Regards,
Stefan
