Comments/arrows etc do not lock [Solved]

Post by bawldiggle »

.
How do I lock comments/arrows etc. ?

I have created password security, but when file is restarted I can still access comments.

How do I ... ?
  • open file unrestricted (without a password)
  • allow copy text
  • comments locked to prevent accidental changes, a password to unlock-comments
  • Allow text search by third party text-in-file finder (ie, FileSearchEX)
I would have inserted images of my settings BUT "Paul" is helping me at Inserting an image onto forum/thread posts ... to learn how!

Hello bawldiggle,

If you have already set password security for a file - you can change that through File -> Document Properties (Ctrl-D) -> Security.

If you make the settings "Not Allowed" for both Printing and Changing - this should not allow anyone to modify your comments.
If you want to make them permanent though - you might need to flatten them before applying the security.

Regards,
Stefan

Where do I find "settings" ?
I have searched every menu including SaveAs and Document Properties without success.

Thank you :)

Hi bawldiggle,

Thanks for the post - you'll need to go to File --> Document Properties --> Security then hit the drop down arrow and select the option for security. This should then bring up a dialogue that will allow for customization of the settings.

Cheers,
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.
