I installed the free, non-commercial/academic "Lite" version downloaded from
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/free_lite_home.html
But when I go to Document Extract pages, I am still told that there will be a demo watermark.
Is this as to be expected? I was under the probably mistaken impression that Lite is an "Industrial Strength" free version rather than a demo version. If it is expected, then it is about time I purchased the academic version.
It is probably time I bought the academic version anyway.
How many computers would I be able to intall the software on?

Does "Lite" Non-commercial/Academic print "Demo" watermarks?

Re: Does "Lite" Non-commercial/Academic print "Demo" waterma
Hello Tim,
The Lite printing driver itself is indeed free for Academic/Home use. It will appear as a new "printer" in your Devices and Printers list - and you can print to it from any application with a Print button - and the result would be a new PDF File without demo stamps.
I believe that you've also installed the Editor - as the Extract pages option is available there. The editor has most of its commenting features free, but document manipulation ones require a license.
You can e-mail sales@pdf-xchange.com your profile page (preferably in English
) or a scan of a student ID card, and we will then explain how you can obtain an academic license.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Does "Lite" Non-commercial/Academic print "Demo" waterma
Thank you. Will do. Looking forwrd to it.
Lately I have been chopping off the spines and scanning my books on auto feed to pdf with our copy machine ( there are also scanning services which will do this at a small number of dollar per book, such as http://www.bookscan.us/) so my use of pdf has increased.
And in answer to my question
> How many computers would I be able to intall the software on?
One can install on one desktop and one laptop.
