Location/Path of "Recents List" in PDF-XChange

Could someone tell me where the file that contains the list of recently opened pdf's is located?

Note, I know how to delete/clear the history, I need to know where that file is located. I just spent an hour trying to find it

I am using: PDF-XChange Viewer Version 2.5

Hi John,

welcome to the forums and thanks for the post.

In the Viewer the history is stored in the Windows Registry under HKCU. In the key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Tracker Software\PDFViewer\Documents there are sub keys for 'LastOpened', 'LastSession' and 'LastView'. In 'LastOpened' you will find a key for each page/file. Be warned, - modifying these keys can break your Viewer so be very cautious when doing anything in there.

In the Editor it is done differently, it is a file in the install folder called 'History.dat' in the folder : C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Tracker Software\PDFXEditor\3.0

I'm interested in knowing why you want to access this. Making changes tot the Viewer history is not a good idea. Is this for looking up something you cannot find in the GUI?
