Hi
Ironically enough I need PDF-XChange Viewer to be less efficient - I think.
I use a desktop search application called Orange Desktop Search which indexes and also allow a preview.
After I have highlighted (and saved a PDF) in the viewer I get "An error occurred in the previewed file"
Playing around a bit I found that when using PDFSAM to (merge/extract/...) and saving uncompressed allowed me to see the document with the PDF-XChange Viewer highlights.
Using PDFtk to uncompress also removed the error in Desktop Orange.
Try as I might I am unable to find a "Save uncompressed" in the preferences for PDF-XChange and thus I am here asking for help in finding the setting.
Regards and thanks
PS I have not gone back (yet) to check in which version the problem started or if it has been there all along - time has been an issue.
I have done some searches for new desktop indexers, unsuccessfully as I am very happy with PDF-XChange viewer.

Hello prema,
Welcome to our forums. How are the original compressed files created? Can you supply a sample not containing any sensitive information in both the compressed and uncompressed versions for comparison?
Regards,
Stefan
