Currencies and delimiters are not displayed in form fields

Hello,

I´ve tried to fill a PDF-document with form fields in PDF X-Change Viewer 2.5 (Build 214.2), which was originally created by Adobe Acrobat Pro.
One field is designed as a dropdown field and formatted as currency.
After selecting on of the values and skipping to the next field, the value won´t be formatted as currency (e.g. 50 --> € 50,00)
It´s the same issue with another filed in this document where the weight could be selected in a dropdown box. The value 1000, for example, won´t be formatted with delimiters (1.000) after switching to the next field.

Adobe Reader and FoxIt Reader don´t show this behaviour. In both applications the values are displayed and printed correctly.

Are there any settings within PDF-X-Change Viewer, which affect this behaviour.

Please download and test the Viewer's successor the PDF XChange Editor:

As forms support in it is better than in the Viewer.

There are no settings that you can adjust to effect the way fields are formatted. We should be doing this as specified in the form itself.

I treid to se the PDF-X-Change-Editor instead, but it is even worse.

After selecting one of the items in the dropdown box, I don´t get the value itself formatted as currency. Now it takes the position of the value in the dropdown box and formats it as currency. For example, 186 is the fourth entry in the dropbox. After selecting this value the field is filled up with € 3,00

It´s the same with the values in the other dropbox, which should be formatted with delimiters. Here, the form field is filled with the unformatted position of the entry in the dropbox.

Do you have an idea what affects this behavior?

I've still not heard any news from the devs, but we have this in our system (ticket RT#2574) so we do have it in mind and will try to resolve as soon as possible. I will post back here in the forums and e-mail you as soon as there are any further news on this.

I have just noticed that a new Version of PDF-X-Change Viewer was released last week. Have the problems with delimiters and currency symbols in forms been fixed in this version.

Dear Support-Team,

we still have some problems with PDF-documents containing delimiters and currencies in form fields.
It is possible to select the values and save the document with formatted delimiters and currien-cies in PDF X-Change Editor.

But after reopening the file in PDF X-Change Editor or PDF X-Change Viewer the correspon-dending form fields are not formatted anymore.
If you open the same document in Adobe Acrobat Reader the form fields are formatted with de-limiters and currencies.

I have already downloaded the most recent versions of both products 5.5.312.1 (Editor) and 2.5.312.1 (Viewer) with the same result indeed.

Is it possible to change any settings within the preferences to avoid this issue?

Form modifications are not yet possible in the Editor, but we are working on that.
If you can supply us one of the latest files you are having issues with - I can pass them to our devs for further investigation and fixing of that formatting.
