Preview Window When Scrolling

I recently (finally) upgraded to version 5 and I mostly like what I see. But…

I use continuous view, show gaps, and standard layout under "Page Layout." When I click on the scrollbar to scroll down the little preview window pops up that shows the page and a little red line of approximately where on the page I'm viewing. I cannot find a way to disable this feature. I really don't need this, as I'm actually looking at the page already, and find it a bit distracting.

Is there way to toggle this feature on and off? If it's not available in this release can it be added to a future upgrade?

Hi juror58,

there is no way in the current build of the Editor to turn that off. It is an option that we will be adding in a future build and we have a ticket around this: RT#2541: Feature Request : Hide Preview Window When Scrolling (internal only).

I can't promise when this will be done, it depends greatly on the other things being attended to that have higher priority.

This is not a dealbreaker, but a minor annoyance. It's just that this program does so many things so well, and so much as customizable I was kind of surprised to see this particular "feature" could not be disabled.

It would be nice to think that there are so few problems with the program that this could be on the "to do list."
