The program does not find a certain letter when searching

Hello,

the problem is restricted to the following situation:

In a certain case the PDF-XChange Viewer (2.5.308.1 or older) does not find within a document a certain greek letter (or any word containing this letter) when searching for it (Ctrl+F).

This letter is Ω (that is the capital letter "Omega"). All other greek and latin letters within the same PDF document are found (also the lowercase letter "omega": ω).
Moreover, the "missed" letter is depicted correctly with the viewer. The problem is only the finding.

The problem happens in one specific case:

With documents converted from Word to PDF with the software PDF24 Creator (http://de.pdf24.org/).

On the one hand it seems that for the issue is to blame the converter program ("PDF24 Creator"):
Because the PDF-XChange Viewer has no problem to find the Omega within a PDF document of the same word document when the PDF is produced by another converter, e.g. the online converter "Go4Convert" (http://go4convert.com/).

But on the other hand the PDF reader seems to be responsible too:
Because I made a search for the letter with the Adobe Reader, and the Adobe Reader has no problem to find it in the PDF document produced by PDF24 Creator.

As I found out just now, the same problem exists at least with a second (greek) letter too, the Δ ("Delta") (again only the capital letter).

You can try a search for example with the following words (respectively the letter) (always using capitals):

- Ω (only the letter)
- Δ (only the letter)
- ΑΛΛΩΣΤΕ
- ΑΝΕΒΑΖΩ
- ΔΙΧΩΣ
- ΕΠΑΝΩ
- ΙΠΠΟΔΡΟΜΟΣ

No search is successful.

On the other other hand the search will be successful when you stop the typing before the letter Ω (respectively Δ):
- ΑΛΛ
- ΑΝΕΒΑΖ
- ΕΠΑΝ
- ΙΠΠΟ

Or when searching for other single letters as:
- Α
- Β
- Γ
- Λ
etc.
