Recently ran into an issue.....using the very latest version of PDF XChange Viewer and also have Adobe Reader (v11.x) on the same PCs. We primarily use XChange. When we edit a scanned PDF file using the typewriter function to insert some text, and then open the edited PDF in Adobe Reader, we receive an error.
"Cannot extract the embedded font 'TBHERA+CourierNewPSMT'. Some characters may not display or print correctly."
The file seems to open ok in Reader, once we click ok on this error, but not sure what XChange is doing to cause the error. If we open the edited PDF in Adobe Acrobat (Std), we do not receive the error....
Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ryan.

Re: Xchange viewer and Adobe Acrobat
Hi Ryan,
Can you please open the Viewer and go to Help -> About and let us know the exact build number written there and from which date that is?
Also - have you tried the Viewer's successor the PDF XChange Editor:
