Hello guys,
I'm looking for easy and reliable way to black out text phrases in documents.
Means in printed PDF but mostly in scanned documents.
I can put a white or black square on to designated areas, but how to save permanently and
absolut undoable the blacked out spaces??
My costumer should not be able with any tricks to read out the blacken price
Thanks for help, hints comments!
regards

Hello HerrRuin,
I think this is the feature you need:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowled ... -Redaction
But it is only available in the PDF XChange Editor and not the Viewer.

Hi HerrRuin,
Not one that will permanently remove the text below the black boxes and make it unrecoverable.

Stefan

How about printing the redacted PDF to another PDF file, say via cutepdf? Boxes on the second PDF should not be editable.

Hello emery,
Reprinting it might still not remove the content under a rectangle. If you are "printing as images" - everythign will be flattened of course - but then a lot of other information will also be lost.
The best way would be to use the redaction tool in the Editor, but this requires a license.

Stefan
