I work in State Court of Rio de Janeiro and we acquired the PDF XChange Viewer SDK on February, 24, 2012 (payment day). I’m using the method below to distribute our applications using ActiveX:

pPDFXChangeAX.SetDevInfo("XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX", “for security reasons I do not put the Developer Code.”)

We were using version 2.5 (Build 201.0) but we need to upgrade to 2.5 (Build 309.0) because it corrects some important bugs for our business. I try to use the same code above with the latest downloaded version but it does not work (the PDF receives a diagonal stripe written “DEMO Version …”).

How can I fix it? We need another Serial / Developer Code?

Some important information:

1) The email we inform to receive upgrade changes is phenrique@tjrj.jus.br (my boss).
2) When we acquired the product from local reseller (IBS1: http://www.ibs1.com.br/) we require 3 years of free upgrades.

Hi Marcos,

thanks for the email and post. I have removed the serial key from the post for security reasons. Please do not post serial keys in public places like this as we are then forced to block it. This key is indeed now blocked.

Ok. I will prepare the document and post it by email.

What are the consequences when you said the old serial is now blocked? We have about 20.000 machines with this product. The viewer will stop to work with this serial? The ActiveX validate it using internet?

Hi,

No existing installation will cease to work provided you do not attempt to update them with new libraries etc without first receiving a new set of codes that are valid with the latest releases - so provided you do not attempt to use the new set of libraries etc before embedding new serial keys - your clients will be unaffected.
