Zoom icons and font on upcoming 4K monitors does not work

As you know a new generation of 4K monitors with a high resolution of 3840x2160 pixels are
becoming enormously popular.

Unfortunately the font for some GUI based programs are very tiny. So users have to increase the Windows zoom level.

This in turn is not understand by some programs like XChange Viewer. XCV does not pay attention to the new zoom level and hence do not adjust the size of the font(s) and toolbar icons.

This is very annoying.

I am planning to upgrade to such a 4K monitor in the near future and would like to continue to use XCV.But XCV is unusable in this resolution.

Please, could you make XCV 4K ready in the next release?

Given the price of such monitors, they will take some time to become "enormously popular"
Can you please try the Viewer's own Edit -> Preferences -> Customize UI settings - try specifying larger fonts in there and this should work.

Also the Viewer is now replaced by the Editor - so please do give the Editor a try as well:

And it should handle such larger resolutions better.

Yeah at the price they are selling now, those fancy monitors won't be mainstream anytime soon. And as such, it will take some time before software catches up as there is currently no need.

Indeed - also, please do bear in mind that very few, if any, further updates are to be released for the Viewer. It has been replaced by the Editor and is now considered unsupported.
