I am running PDFXCview.exe (for pdfxchange viewer portable version) under wine to open a pdf file, by
PDFXCview.exe 1.pdf
When I do the same for another file, the other file will be opened by the same process of PDFXCview.exe. Can I open it in a different process? The reason is that the application becomes slower to non-responsive when there are two pdf files opened in the same process, and easier to crash.
Is running a different process or not determined by the executable PDFXCview.exe? Is it because the exe file runs as a server?
Thanks.
Can I run PDFXCview.exe as two separate processes?

Hello Tim,
Have you tried the built in "open in separate windows" feature?

Wonder why opening two pdf files in a process, causes switching between them not responding for a while, and more likely crash. p.s. use it under wine.

Hi Tim,
That is most likely a Wine specific issue - as the Viewer has been around for many years - and if it was a common problem on Windows we would have noticed it long ago. I can't telly uo why it behaves like this on your Wine - but did you manage to update to 1.6.2 ?

Stefan

If posting files to this forum - you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded - thank you.
