I have an issue with printing (it happened in the build 206, but the same thing occurs in the latest version 311):
I print an image scan: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/231 ... iginal.jpg
When I choose "custom scale" and a value above 100%, it doesn't print the whole image -there is a white rectangle. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/2311558/Print.jpg
(With scaling type: "none" it prints it correctly.)
It could be a printer problem, but I don't think so: Foxit reader prints it good (custom scale also), and when I tick "Print as images" in the Pdf-Xchange, it also prints it correctly.
Thank you!

Re: Printing issue
Hello Ptepic,
Welcome to our forums.
You say "I print an image" - which would imply you are using our printing drivers, but then you are comparing with Foxit. So could it be that you actually have a PDF file containing that image already and then try to print the PDF to paper?
If so - can you please download and test printing the same through the Editor:
https://www.pdf-xchange.com/product ... nge-editor
Which is the successor of the Viewer.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Printing issue
Sorry for my English: yes, I have a PDF file containing that image already and I try to print the PDF to paper...
Printing the same through the Editor works fine. So, the Editor is the successor of the Viewer -does it mean that the Viewer won't be updated? This issue won't be fixed?
To be honest, I like the Viewer better than the Editor -for example, there is no option to hide all the bars with a shortcut (F11) as in the Viewer...

Re: Printing issue
Hello Ptepic,
Yes the printing engine of the Viewer is older - and there are indeed issues with some printers. So for the Viewer the solution would be to use "print as images" and it is unlikely that any fixes to the Viewer's printing will be done.
In build 311 of the Editor F9 hides the main menu, and for the moment F8 is not yet hiding all toolbars, but that feature will most likely be added back in a future build. For the moment you can minimize the Editor toolbars by clicking the small triangles on the right.

Stefan

Re: Printing issue
Thank you for the tips! For now I will stay with the Viewer: in the Editor there are more things that don't work yet -for example the back and forward keys.
Just one more question: if I use "print as images" option with the image scan pdf files, loose I any details or quality? Because the pdf file already is an image: there are no parts, if I understand it right..
Thanks!

Hello Ptepic,
As we are taking great care in noting and adding features that are missing from the Viewer to the Editor, we are interested in your feedback.
The Editor does however have the Forward and Back functions. You must simply add them to the toolbar using the steps in the following KB: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowled ... he-Editor-
You will see I have added them to my toolbar:

I do hope this helps!

Yes, there are Forward and Back functions in the Editor, but the keyboard shortcuts don't work...

Thank you for your help!

Re: Printing issue
Hello Ptepic,
Thank you for specifying that. This is certainly a less common keyboard, for which we will need to test, and add these functions to the Editor.
I hope this helps!

My apologies, I overlooked answering this yesterday. By choosing "Print as image" then going to "Advanced" you can choose to raise or lower the dpi. Generally speaking, you should not lose any quality when using the defaults.Just one more question: if I use "print as images" option with the image scan pdf files, loose I any details or quality?
