PDF Shell Extension broken (since 312).

Post by mario88 »

Hi,

I experience the following issues regarding the PDF shell extension after upgrading from v310 to v312:
  • Windows search index needs forever and a day to index my PDF collection - about 1 PDF file per hour (!). In previous versions, this took only a few minutes in total.
  • Windows explorer needs forever and a day to display a folder with PDF files inside, when in details view and a PDF property (e.g. title) is selected as column.
These issues never occurred with v310, so my first attempt was to reinstall v312, but this didn't solve the issue. Then I downgraded to v310 and this solved the issue (for now).

Windows 7 x64.
I have also installed SumatraPDF v3 and Adobe Reader XI 11.0.10.0 on my system, but they were installed before I installed PDF-XChange Viewer, so PDF-XChange Viewer was always installed at last.
