Highlight changes in different settings

Hello Support,

I do a lot of work on a MacBook (OS X 10.9.5), using Apple's Preview software to deal with pdf-files.
Highlighting results in a strong yellow there.
When I copy these files to a Microsoft computer (Windows 7 Professional) where I use PDF XChange Viewer (Version 2.5),
the yellow highlightings turn to be nearly invisible there - only when I look from a lateral position, in an acute angle, I can recognize
a faint, pale yellow.
Changing the highlighting color of PDF XChange Viewer does not help, since this only applies to newly highlighted
areas, but not to the already highlighted ones.

Do you perhaps know a solution ?

Welcome to our forums.
Highlights use a special "blending mode" - so when you place them on the page the colour you see is a combination of the colour you selected for the highlight and the underlying colours on the page. I suspect that your Max PDF viewer interprets that differently, even through we are creating these highlights following the PDF specification.
Can you please provide us with a sample PDF, and screenshots of the same from your Mac and Windows computers?
