"layers" not appearing

Hello everybody!

This is a strange question, I guess: when opening a .pdf file I created (with PDF-Creator), I cannot see all the layers I printed in my file!

Or, to be more specific, when opening my document, I see the first layer for 1/4 of a second, then the second layer for 1/4 of a second, then the third layer appears, but ONLY it: the two previous layers disappeared, as if they where covered by the last one.
--> this means that the three layer are actually existing in my .pdf, but that they cannot be seen in transparency or superposition.

Let me explain you what I did: I created a map with a software called Map Maker. This map includes 3 layers: a photo, the "cadastre" and the polygons I drew. Then I printed this map with PDF-Creator. I must specify that, at this point, while still in Map Maker, I could see the three layers with the "preview" option.

I see the same thing in the Editor, as in Adobe, so could you please send a comparison of how it should look Vs. how it does look after conversion?

Hey Will, it was stupid of me to try and do this by mail, since there is really nothing at stake here.

So here is my .pdf file again, and also a printscreen from my MapMaker software which shows what my file should look like.

Please note that each time I adjust the size of my .pdf with PDF Xchange Viewer, I can see the background photo then the background cadastre appear like a flash. I guess you can get the same result.

Hi Antoine,

Thanks for that - I'm seeing the PDF display the same in Adobe, so I suspect that the error is on the part of either PDF-Creator, or the printing engine of your map making software.

Could you please try using our Standard printer to print from your map making software, to PDF and see if that helps?

Without a valid license, the printer will place watermarks on the resulting document, so this really just to test the issue with the layers.

I obtain the same result as before with your Xchange printer (with your two logos on the top corners!): only my 3rd layer is shown...

So I guess you were right and that I have to check now on Map-Maker or PDF-Creator side...
