I've been using XChange Viewer for a few weeks and I thoroughly like what it does. Today was a different story. I saved dozens of form fillable PDF's at work using Adobe Acrobat and I brought the PDF's home on a thumbdrive.
I can open the PDF at home using Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and I can see the data in the fields.
I can open the same PDF in XChange Viewer and see the data in the fields.
What is bothering me is when I open the PDF in XChange Viewer and immediately save the PDF (different filename) without doing anything to the PDF, the data in the fields is not visible when I open the newly saved PDF in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.
The newly saved PDF is smaller than the original PDF (86KB vs 323KB).
My PDFXChange Viewer is Version 2.5 (Build 313.1)
My Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is Version 15.008.20082.15957
Thanks - David

Hi DWC121,
Thanks for the post - please try the Editor, as we did not fully support certain kinds of forms in the Viewer:

Do please note that the Viewer has been replaced by the Editor, so very few (if any) changes will be made moving forward.
HTH!

Re: After saving, Fields disappear in Adobe Acrobat Reader D
Hi Will,
Your solution did the trick !
I also see Editor was made my default program for PDF documents when I installed the program. Usually I'm very observant during installs but I did not see an option to not make it my default program when it was installed (I work professionally in the database field so I always try to be observant). That's okay, because from using it for a few weeks I really like the program and had planned on making it my default PDF program. I normally use foxit but lately I'm less fond of it. If I plan on e-mailing a PDF to someone I had been checking the file with Adobe.
What sold me on PDF-XChanger was the OCR capability and the ability to export to other formats like BMP. I'm sure there are other excellent things PDF-XChanger will do for me once I play with the program (again).
