Status of Viewer

Unfortunately the Viewer has been effectively discontinued, and no changes will be made to it directly. Any bugs that are present in the Viewer as well as the Editor will likely only be fixed in the Editor.

If this is the case, why does a new build of the Viewer get released every time a build of the Editor is released?

Hello Bob,

Thank you for the post. The Viewer's build number are continually updated with each release of our products so that the serial keys are backwards compatible.

The new serial key format contains imbedded information including build numbers. So that People who have purchased build 314 of the Editor, can also use the Viewer, there must be a build 314 of it as well.

The build numbers in the Viewer are also updated to reflect the build number of the Viewer SDK, which is still supported.
