Text bos tol default font

Post by lrollo »

Is there a way to change the default font in the text box tool ?

When I paste 12 pt serif type plain text it is converted to 16–18 ? san serif with no leading.

This produces a less than optimal legible result.

Alternatively, if the font cannot be changed, is there another option to paste prepared text into the box.

In PDF-XChange Viewer, you can set the default "Text formatting" by:
- first formatting the text in a text box in the way that you prefer (via the Properties Toolbar),
- then select that text
- do a right mouse click on it
- click "Text Formatting" > "Set Current Text formatting as Default" OR click the "Make Default" button in the Properties toolbar.

From that moment on, the text that you paste into a typewriter text box will be formatted in the way you like.

In PDF-XChange Editor, it works almost the same way, but here you have the advantage that formatted text keeps its formatting when you paste it in a typewriter text box (annotation), and also in a text box (that is part of the text layer).
