No Thumbnail and/or preview for PDFs

Hi,
I did a fresh install of my OS (Windows 7 x64 Professional). There's one thing missing though after I finished installing PDF-Xchange viewer which is a thumbnail view of PDFs and the preview bar doesn't show anything for PDFs anymore - just plain empty white space (both were fine in my older installation of Windows). All other file types show their thumbnails and they have previews except PDFs. I thought the installation of the program will make PDFs show their thumbnails and previews correctly but it didn't happen so I'm not sure what I may have forgotten to do.

During the installation/setup of PDF-XChange Viewer, you have to make sure to install the "Shell Extensions".
(see print screen in attachment)

After installation, you can still add/remove items in PDF-XChange Viewer:
- via Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features
- do a right mouse-click on the line with "PDF-XChange Viewer".
- click Change
- click Next
- click Change
here you can check if "Shell Extensions" are selected or not ...
continue the installation and finally click "Finish"

I'm not sure why I didn't have the option to modify my installation because it wanted to uninstall only so I went ahead and uninstalled, then re-installed bearing in mind that option which I may have missed before. Now, all is going well.

I'm glad to read that all is working well now.

I think there is a difference between installing PDF-XChange Viewer via the ZIP/EXE installer and via the MSI package.
When installing via this last one, you may have the opportunity to select options during installation and also later, after installation.

Yes, everything is fine now and indeed I'm using the exe installer so it didn't allow me to modify my installation but that wasn't a big deal for me.
