Change request for program updates re: Search Providers

One thing that I wish you could implement with program updates is to preserve my preferences regarding the list of search providers.

After each update I have to return to that preference setting and once again delete all those providers that I don't want listed there, that are automagically restored.

Much obliged if you could change that.

I got the update yesterday for 2.5 (316.1) and had to fix the Search Providers preferences in that build. Hence the reason I posted.

Just to clarify things further - is the installer just restoring old search providers that you deleted, or also removing your custom search provides (if you have any created by yourself)?

No, nothing custom. It just restores the ones I've previously deleted.

Edit: Deleted by running as Admin.

Given that this is happening in the Viewer, it's unlikely to be fixed. Please try the Editor and you should find that it works correctly:
