image annotation
Is there a way to insert an image to a pdf file using PDF-XChange Viewer? I used to use Foxit Reader and they have a very useful feature called "image annotation" where you can insert an image file in the pdf file. I am still getting used to PDF-XChange Viewer, so if there is such feature in it, Can somebody please tell me how to do it. Thanks

Re: image annotation
Hi Zen,
Thanks for the email - in the Viewer, images can be inserted by copying the image to clipboard and pasting the image on the page, but I'm afraid that no other way exists, other than to insert the image as a new page or create a PDF from an image.
I would recommend that you download and test the Viewer's replacement, the Editor, as this has a Document --> Insert Image feature, that allows you to insert the image as a stamp, should you wish:

HTH!

If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.

Re: image annotation
Thank you for your fast response. I really don't do a lot of pdf editing. I only use that feature to insert an image of my signature onto some documents. Even when using the editor, it's very hard to resize the image to fit into a small signature box as it only uses corner resizing of the image. There is no horizontal or vertical resizing when I used the "Add image" feature in PDF Xchange editor. Thank you for your suggestion anyway.

Re: image annotation
Hello Zen,
Yes - the Editor will try to preserve the aspect ratio of the image/stamp/signature - so indeed you can't resize it in just one direction with the mouse.
Have you tried to place the object, and then while it is still selected go to Object -> Transform Selection...
This will open a new window where you can remove the aspect lock (click the small chain to "break" it) - and you can then adjust the horizontal and vertical sizes separately. This option is only available in the Editor and not the Viewer though.
Regards,
Stefan
