Hello to everyone!
First of all many thanks to Tracker Software for the best PDF Viewer.
I would like to request two options. The first is to choose scrolling distance by pressing space button. You see, it is not cool to see half of a string at the bottom and other half of the same string at the top of screen after pressing space button. Comfortable scrolling distance for me is about 95%. It will be comfortable for everyone to choose scrolling distance by themselves.
The second. Mouse wheel scrolling a little bit slow. It would be nice to configure it too.
Thank You!
P.S: Sorry for my english if something is unclear.

Re: Scrolling Options
Hello Neverhood,
Welcome to our forums!
Thanks for your suggestions. I will pass the one for "Spacebar Scrolling" for consideration. In the mean time please use PageUP/PageDown which will leave about 30px overlap.
As for the second option - this will depend on your general options for your mouse. You should be able to control that through window's Control panel or your mouse drivers. It should be the same as for other applications. For me the scroll speed is rather reasonable with the default 3 lines per wheel click - and is comparable to the scroll speed I get in my browser (number of pixels wise, not taking into account zoom levels etc.).
Please also note that the Viewer is now no longer developed as it was replaced by the Editor - so any improvements we make in that respect will be in the Editor only.
Regards,
Stefan

Re: Scrolling Options
Stefan, yes, default system settings for 3 strings per mouse wheel click is comfortable as usual. Changing system settings will affect to other software. When scale is 100% I have 3 lines per click, but I'm using 150% scale as usual, it gives just 2 strings for me.

Re: Scrolling Options
Hi Neverhood,
The scroll speed in terms of pixels moved up/down per wheel click is the same - just your lines are now larger - so the only thing I can think of that will help is to use e.g. 5 lines per wheel click setting. If you are using 150% zoom in the Editor (e.g. High DPI screen) - then you will probably benefit from the faster scrolling in other applications as well if using zoom in them as well.
I have a switchable wheel on my mouse, it can either click each time you move it, or rotate freely - in the second mode I can fly through long documents - but I find that option waay too fast most of the time

Stefan

Re: Scrolling Options
I have such mouse. This is not a solution. Ok, this lack is not critical. I'll try to accustom. Thanks a lot.

Re: Scrolling Options
"KatMouse" can help with mouse wheel scrolling speed.

Re: Scrolling Options
Hi Neverhood,
Glad that you've found a solution
Adding an option to change the scroll speed is not likely practical, as too many option in the preferences, or elsewhere within the UI, will make it cluttered and less user friendly. For now there are many other alternative scroll methods that allow for fine control (i.e. up/down keys when cursor focus is on the page).
Should we receive more requests for this in the future, we will look deeper into adding options to change this.
Thanks,
