Change precision of dimension labels.

Post by piazza horticultural »

I am working with the measuring tool, and all the labels are in integer foot units. I need to be able to show feet.decimal feet or feet.inches.

I have a feeling that I may have, at one time, set it to only label the nearest foot, but I can't remember if this is so or how to undo it.

Hello piazza horticultural,

When selecting the "output" format for the measurement - you can select both feed (#.## - 2 digits behind the decimal delimiter), feet / inches (decimal inches), and feet / inches (fractional inches) - please see the attached image as well as this KB article:

Hi ,

Thanks for the post - this should already be possible, using the Calibration Tool. Please see this KB article, for a detailed walk-through:

Is the calibration tool for the measuring tool only available in the paid or Pro Version?

When I go to: tools+measuring tools I see no calibration option.

Thank you

Hi Adrenoreceptor,

The tools available are the same whether your have paid or are using the Editor in demo mode, it is simply the presence or absence of a license key that determines whether or not watermarks will be placed on the document, when using licensed features.

In this instance, I would suspect that you're using a build of the Editor released prior to the implementation of the calibration tool, so please download and install the latest release:

Will,

Awesome! I like it! This version has the marquee zoom too, I was missing having that in the other version.

Off topic but, I notice the select tool is gone now, but the select text tool also selects a distance measurement in order to delete, etc. Looks like Select text also selects clouds, etc. so Select Text has essentially become "Select". Is this correct?

Hi Adrenoreceptor,

Awesome, glad you like it :D

Kind of - the select text tool will select base content text and annotations, but not link objects. The Hand Tool also allows you to select annotations.
