Using PDF-XChange PRO 6.0.317 on Windows 7 x64, all characters of a document are garbled when creating a pdf from a pdf with embedded fonts.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
- print any text from notepad.exe using the "PDF-XChange Standard V6" printer with the default profile and Fonts => Embed All Used Fonts ticked (result: http://postimg.org/image/7i4r9jbsd)
- open the resulting pdf in PDF-XChange Editor and print the document using the "PDF-XChange Standard V6" printer (there is no difference in ticking "Embed All Used Fonts" or not)
This is how the resulting pdf looks like:

Re: garbled characters when printing pdfs with embedded font
Hi Will,
thanks for your reply. Albeit the issue described in the linked thread sounds similar to my issue, I'm somehow in doubt that it's directly related.
In my case only PDF-XChange PRO 6.0.317 is affected. I'm not able to reproduce the issue with PDF-XChange PRO 5.5.315. Furthermore my issue is definitely related to embedded fonts. The resulting pdfs are perfect fine, if I do not embed any fonts.

Hi mkr,
This is almost certainly the issue, so please do try the settings suggested and advise if they do not help.

Re: garbled characters when printing pdfs with embedded font
Hi Will,
thanks again for your reply.
The Text Rendering Mode: Outline for Embedded Fonts is the default for PDF-XChange Editor 6.0.317.
Switching the Text Rendering Mode back to "auto" fixed the issue for me. Each other option, results in garbled characters with 5.5.315 as well as 6.0.317. Strange!
Thanks a lot

Re: garbled characters when printing pdfs with embedded font
Hi mkr,
I believe that I may have misunderstood the initial issue - your screen-shot didn't load for me, when viewing initially and I thought you were describing this:
The text appears as it does in your image, because it is not really text, but curves. When Outline for Embedded Fonts is used, text will be printed as curves. We suggest this to users when facing the issue outlined in the other post, because it solves problems with text printed as in my screen-shot above. Auto will fix this because it will not longer print text as curves, but as actual text.
Cheers,
