Make hand tool default when grid is enabled?

Post by BrianG »

I have enabled snapping and turned the grid display on but now whenever I open a document the typewriter tool is the default tool. If I want the hand tool back as the default should I disable snapping, grid display, or both?

Edit: Never mind! I figured out what is going on.

Hello Brian,

I have seen your edit. If I may make a suggestion:

With the release of Version 6 of our products, the Editor now has a "Tools" section in the preferences menu (Edit> Preferences> Tools) there, the default tool can be defined. See more information on that here: https://help.pdf-xchange.com/EUM/de ... it6:tools1

I hope this helps!
If posting files to this forum, you must archive the files to a ZIP, RAR or 7z file or they will not be uploaded.
Thank you.

Cheers,

Thanks Patrick. I test each new version of Editor and recently made a real effort to replace Viewer with v6 of Editor but I had to go back to Viewer.

Hello Brian,

The Viewer and Editor are separate products and it is inevitable that there will be some differences.
If you share your opinion on what is it that you still like more in the Viewer - we will see if there is anything we can do to improve the Editor in that direction :)

Regards,
Stefan
