Feature request - Batch Links

Hi,

Thank you for the nice piece of software. I would like to ask for another feature extending its functionality - Batch Link. It should work similar to this.

Please see the attached document. I have created the orange bookmarks with the tool "Generate Bookmarks From Page Text". Now I would like to start the "Batch Link" tool which would find text on pages which matches the bookmark names and create a hyperlink to the page. I think it is relatively easy do write.

It would be a big help for us and other users in the industry issuing drawings.

The functionality can go further. We need not only go to the page, but jump to the specific detail number on the drawing. But I have no idea how to do that programmatically. If you can find a way how to do that it would be just wonderful and very helpful for us.

Thanks for the post and suggestion - I've placed a feature request for this, but I obviously cannot make any guarantees. It's quite a niche feature, so if the Dev. Team feel that it's a reasonable request, it's not likely to be considered a high priority, given the nature of other feature requests outstanding.

This is a niche feature for pleb users. It is an absolute must for professionals in architecture, design and similar trades that deal with drawings. That's why Bluebeam is 10 times more expensive and is still selling.
We would switch from Bluebeam to XChange in a heartbeat if that was a feature. That's about 40 seats.

Hi Hunam,

Bluebeam is specifically designed for use by architects, construction workers, etc. and would obviously prioritize features useful to that particular niche. We offer a general purpose PDF Editor and must take into account the needs and wants of a wider variety of users. I've not received any confirmation that we plan to implement this, but I'll put in an official feature request ticket. However, that still doesn't guarantee implementation and it's still not likely to be seen as a priority unless we have a much greater number of requests.
