I selected 4 jpg files and used the right click context menu to combine them in the Editor. The resulting pdf was beautiful, but I was surprised by the size of it. 4 jpg files totalling 4.25 MB had become an 18.31 MB pdf. I then created an optimized copy of the file, and it was reduced to 674 kB and looked as good as the original 18 MB file. Impressive. Does it sound correct though that the original file created was 18.31 MB? Build 318.1.
Thanks.

Hi Arnold,
Thanks for the post - I'd noticed the same thing a week or two ago. The ticket created for this was RT-3669 and I've added you to the ticket too.

Re: Combining jpg files to pdf
It is great having this command on the context menu, and it works fast. It would be great if the files to be combined could also be placed 2 to a page, 4 to a page, etc. I had mentioned this in a post previously, and I saw one other user address it in a post.
Don't know if there is much demand for it, and it is probably not easy to implement, but it would be a nice feature.
Thanks.

Re: Combining jpg files to pdf
I definitely agree on that.It would be nice to have this feature included in Editor. The idea to integrate "image to pdf" inside the context menu is already great and such stuff makes life easier for me.Arnold wrote:Don't know if there is much demand for it, and it is probably not easy to implement, but it would be a nice feature.
I do a lot of documentation and I often have to include pictures which I don't want to have on separate pages but nicely and automatically arranged in colums and rows on one or a limited range of pages.
I am using a freeware program that exactly does what Arnold is looking for but I would like to see
this feature included inside of Editor to get rid of any 3rd-party software.
I am aware that this would take some time and you are busy with other - more - important
things.I just want to support Arnold's idea.
