Default to Text Select tool instead of Hand Tool

Using PDF Xchange Viewer 2.5.318.1 (22 Sep 2016) on Windows 10.

I went through the Preferences settings and didn't see any way to set the Select text tools as default when the application start. Actually I would even prefer to remove the Hand Tool permanently if this is the way to get the Select text tool available as default.

I use a mouse with a scroll wheel, it is more convenient to move page back and forth. When I click on the mouse button to interact with the content, I generally prefer to select the content rather than moving the page (duplicating the action I can already do with the scroll wheel).

Sorry if the request seems strange. If you happen to own a mouse with a scroll wheel, I hope you will know what I am talking about.

Thanks for the email - I'm afraid that this was not possible in the Viewer, but can be done under Edit --> Preferences --> Tools in the Editor, which has replaced the Viewer and can be downloaded here:

Strange! why would such a simple thing be bound to the edit function?

In the viewer, if I click on the [T] icon, then the Select Text tool is enabled and replaces that weird Hand Tool. This is enough proof that Text Select tool can work in the Viewer, without any need to use the Editor. How come it is not possible to enable it by default?

The Preferences are usually located under the Edit menu, in most other applications.

I was not suggesting that the Text Select Tool didn't work in the Viewer, but simply advising that it could not be set as default. If you would like to use that tool as the default, then you will need to switch to the Editor.
