Thai text is messed up after editing

Post by dettmari »

Hi, after adding some Thai text, saving and then editing again, the text becomes spaced out after deselecting the text box.
It's a bit hard to explain, please see the screenshots and video to make it clear.

I am using Version 7.0 Build 326.1. How to fix this?

Hello dettmari,

Thanks for your post. Please update to build 327.1 (the current latest) and if the problem still happens please send us a sample file with which we can test and try to reproduce the problem.

Regards,
Stefan

Dear Stefan, it's still happening after upgrading to build 327.1. A sample is attached, but it happens on all document when editing or adding Thai text. It only occurs after saving and reopening the file, before that text behaves normally.

Hello dettmari,

Thank you for the file, I see the issue in these fields, however upon placing the same text into any new typewriter field, saving closing and reopening the file, it seems to be handled properly:

Could you please verify if you can recreate this by placing new fields in the latest build, or if the issue only exists when editing fields that were placed prior?

It seems to work. Curious how it came about in the first place though.
I'll monitor if it occurs again. Thanks for your advice so far.

Re: Thai text is messed up after editing  SOLVED

Hello dettmari,

Thank you for confirming that works on your end as well. My suspicion is that this was a bug in the olde build you used to modify the document originally, and it saved into the document after repeated use. Now as the bug has been resolved, creating new text boxes circumvents the issue because the old data is no longer retained.

Best Regards!
