Document Load Time

Post by airhockeycanada »

Hi all.

Since downloading build 0028 I noticed that some pdf's that I've viewed in previous builds now take quite a long time to appear on the screen. The document appear blank for about 1 minute until it starts to load slowly top to bottom.

Is there a reason for this?

Thanks.

Can you send me such file ? Into build 28 image decoding was changed, and I'm afraid it causes troubles.

The second page of the attached PDF renders rather slowly when zooming.

Foxit Reader manages better, but Adobe Reader is the best.

Its very strange, I cannot reproduce the trouble here -- the file is drawn in a moment.

Can you use Help -> Report a Problem..., to send report to us about this problem - in this case we will have required information about your OS, memory available and viewer's settings to determine where the problem can be.

Report sent.

"Rather slowly" means 2 or 3 seconds, not nearly a minute as the OP reported with another document.

Update:

PDF-XChange and Foxit Reader 2.3 both redraw the second page of PPX2 Essentials.pdf instantaneously, but Adobe Reader hesitates for a second.
