PDF with form fields not recognized

I have created a PDF with form fields and XChange Editor tells me that the document contains interactive form fields and if I want to highlight them.
If the document contains only checkboxes, I don't get the message.
Also, the checkboxes are not highlighted but work perfectly.
I have PDFs where everything is working, so it could also be an issue with Stimulsoft that creates the reports.

If you just added the form fields to the document, and have not saved/closed it since then, that could be the cause of the issue. Please try closing and re-opening the document to ensure that is not the problem.

If you always want form fields to be highlighted by default when present, you can also enable this option:

I've tried 9.5.367 and the bug is still present and your option doesn't work.
Try the attached PDF from the first post.

Thank you for checking that, looking into the file once again, I see that your "checkboxes" are not actually checkboxes, they are pushbuttons which show/hide a duplicate version of themselves that has a "checkmark" graphic. We do not highlight pushbuttons by default, which is why you dont see the option presented. Ideally, the software creating these documents:

Should be using the proper object type, a "chekcbox" field, which is a slightly modified radio button.

I will ask them if they can change it.
Anyway there is still the bug that the viewer doesn't show that there are form fields even when they are not highlighted.

It is not a bug. It is just one important check-box (Push Buttons) that also has to be turned ON,
or select "Highlight All Form Fields" instead of "Highlight Only Fields of Selected Types".
