Export to Image: Can't see option for actual selection?

I just selected an area in a PDF file with snapshot tool and want to save this as an image.

I though this could be saved as an image over File -> Export to Image
But can't see an option there.

How can I directly save it as an image without an external image program? This would save time for me in future.

The snapshot is already an image on your Windows clipboard. Paste that into your favourite image editor and save it from there.

You can change the resolution of the snapshot in Edit, Preferences, Snapshot Tool.

Alternatively, export the entire page as an image, then crop it in your favourite image editor.

You can only export entire pages directly to an image format - not partial snapshots of a page.

Follow Bhikkhu's instructions for snapshots.

Too bad, that you didn't read my post completely. I don't want to use external image editor, for saving time.

Perhaps, adding that simple function in a further release?

I did read your post completely - and thats why I explained that you cannot export a snapshot - only an entire page without using an external editor.

Thats not to say we wont add such a feature - but for now we have our hands full - completing the current committed feature set.
