Font Bug

I am getting jibberish when trying to type text. Looks like the wrong font is active even though the document profile has only two fonts both Aerial. I'm new to this software and blog but I'll try to attach the PDF file where this is a problem. Any help would be appreciated.

The Documents Properties, Fonts, show only fonts that are present in the PDF document text. The typewriter tool uses fonts that are installed on your computer. Arial is the default font.

If you're getting jibberish, check the current font in use, and make sure that Arial is properly installed. You can changed the default font to that used by the current typed text by right-clicking in any typewriter text, and Choosing Text Formatting, Make current text formatting the default.

How do I change the default font from Courier to Aerial? I can change the font but the next time I use the typewriter, Courier is back.
