Remove line numbering from PDF

I received a PDF that has line numbers from someone else and need to edit it in Word. Is there any way to remove the line numbers before converting it? Otherwise the line numbers appear as regular text in the Word document.

You can use the "Edit > all content" tool (on the home tab) to select and delete most content items, including text in the margins.

@user2309,

in case you haven't seen it already: with the Edit Content tool, you can drag a rectangle, selecting only the line numbers (if the option "Edit Text Elements as Blocks" is not active).

This way you can delete the line numbers in a matter of seconds.
