PDF Document hangs when trying to print

Post by doctorgonzo »

I have a PDF document that hangs with 100% CPU utilization when attempting to print any part of it. It does this no matter what printer I try to use. The customary dialog that says "Printing 1 of 20" does not show up; it hangs before this point.

Confirmed hee too.

It prints OK from Adobe Reader to my PDF Factory printer driver, and that file, which is about 2 Mbytes, then prints from PDF-XChange, but very slowly and it creates a PDF file of 130 Mbytes due to the problem discussed in this thread.

The problem that you report may be caused by something else, but I presume that it will be fixed when printing as text is implemented.

There is problem with rendering page #1 using gdiplus (it will render, but very slowly), all other pages will printed ok.

For now there is workarround - use the "Print as images" option, if you are printing to real printer (however - when printing as images to a virtual non-raster printer - you will get an extremely large file).
