Hi,
Babylon has a plugin for Adobe Reader to support text recognition, does something similar exist for PDF XChange ?
Or what can be done to use Babylon with PDF XChange ?
Thanks.

Babylon uses Adobe plugin model which isn't supported by PDF-XChange viewer (at least for now), so, I'm afraid there are no way to use it.

HI,
I tried it, and it worked here, but not so good. Babylon tries to OCR the rendered text and is not successful too often. I don't know why it uses the OCR method while there is a much better method which is used by many other translators (Translate It, ABBYY Lingvo 12, Lingoes, etc.) and all of these translators are supported by the PDF-XChange viewer.

I especially refer to "(at least for now)". Has there been a new development as to Babylon at the horizon?
The mentioned plugin for the Adobe Reader works excellent. Why can't you find a similar solution for XChange viewer? By the way, your competitor Foxit does allow Babylon application, too. Sometimes delayed a little, - and no special plugin is necessary. The trick is, to apply the cursor a few pixel below the word you want to get translated. Maybe this hint might help to find a solution for PDF XChange - for many reasons my favourite.

Re: Babylon and PDF XChange
Can you provide direct link to Babylon's product you are talking about?
