It is a great feature to be able to find all occurrences of certain term. However the speed is questionable.
When I have the same document in pdf and djvu format, WinDjView finds all occurrencies in about 1/10 of the time it takes in pdf-xchange (eg. it takes 3 seconds as opposed to 30). Maybe it is in the representation of the text in OCR-ed djvu file, but the difference is tremendous.
Is there any way to increase the speed of the search?

HI,
yes, you are right, the representation of the text in DjVu and PDF is very different, and to find text on a PDF page it is necessary to parse its content before, find all text entries and prepare continuous text for searching.
For example, in a PDF when two symbols are rendered side by side viually, in the page's content they can be located in entirely different places in the files source structure - So, it always requires some time and memory.
