default toolbar view won't stick in IE7

Post by larfx »

Hi,

When opening the stand alone viewer. I can get it to not display the comment and markup, properties and file toolbars. However, when I view a PDF in a frame in Internet Explorer, it defaults to viewing those toolbars, even though I previously unchecked them. Is there a way to keep certain toolbars from appearing in the browser view?

Thanks,

Larry

No. You can turn toolbars off by right-clicking on them, but the plugins don't remember the settings. You can use F11 to turn off all toolbars when the plugin has focus.

Thanks for the reply, well hmmm. Good tip on the F11.

I guess then I would love to see this ability in a future release then.

Thanks again,

Larry

Awesome, is that out yet. If not, is there an ETA on release.

Way cool :)

It worked, the settings are sticking, even when relaunching the browser. Awesome :).

One more question, We have limited the view to the Rotate, Zoom and Find Toolbars. However the basic user can right click and enable the other toolbars. Is there a way to prevent this and only allow the program to display the desired toolbars and not allow for changes by the user?

Thanks again,

Larry

Hi Larry,

I am afraid this would require the addiiton of some sort of 'rights' and paswword access and this is currently not available.

Ok, I appreciate the answer. I figured it would be more involved in some way. The reader is excellent, thanks for being so responsive.

cheers :)
