is it possible to maintain original page number after extraction of some pages of a pdf?

say i have a 100-page pdf file. i want to extract pages 11, 22, 33, 44, 55
with the resultant file that has 5 pages numbered 11, 22, 33, 44, 55 not 1-5
is this possible?

Page number is based on the physical order of the pages in the document, from a technical standpoint, no, you cannot make the actual page numbers reflect this, however, there are alternatives.

You can use "logical page numbers" to update the "name" of the page, so that it prefers to show a different number that what it actually is: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... Thumbnails

Or you can use headers/footers to add a "page number" to the corner of the page, indicating that, although it is page #3 in the current document, it is page #33 in the original document: https://www.pdf-xchange.com/knowle ... nd-Footers
