Save as shortcut

Post by Julie1301 »

I am trying to save a document. When I use the shortcut ctrl+shift+s the annotations/rectangle menu opens and the document cannot be saved. What can I do?
Thanks.

Hello, Julie1301

If custom shortcuts have been added to the software, they can take precedence over, or interfere with some of the build in hotkeys. I would first suggest resetting your settings (File > manage settings > reset settings) and see if that helps to restore the default save as hotkey to functionality.

Kind regards,

Do you get the same result if you try to execute by going to upper left /File...Save As? I wouldn't think so, thereby ruling out some kind of misfunction. Therefore, follow Daniel's advice. If you are new user (I see you are a new forum poster and welcome!), the way you can check your hot-key assignments as Daniel suggests above is by looking at the setttings in UI Options (icon near top right screen corner), then Customize Toolbars, then Commands, then All Shortcuts which will show a table of assigned shortcuts with the function on the left and the hot-key assignments on the right. Those assignments are then easily customized.

Good luck!
All best,
