Can I combine (merge) several pages into one PDF document?

Post by Lighthouse_Foundation »

I looked through previous questions but didn't see exactly what I want. I have a large, 10-page PDF file that I will ultimately export to Excel. When I export it as it, of course PDF-XChange Editor creates 10 Excel sheets. But I want all PDF pages on one Excel sheet.

So in order to do that I'll need to combine my ten PDF into one. How do I do that?

Hi,

Yes, there are a few options for doing that with PDF-XChange Editor - the simplest is to use the Combine Files feature detailed here:

Thanks but I must not have explained what I want correctly. I don't have multiple files that I want to combine. I have multiple pages of one PDF file.

10 pages.jpg

So when I export the file to Excel, it creates a tab for every page.

10 sheets.jpg

What I'm trying to do is remove the page breaks, if possible, so that I have all 10 pages of my PDF on one Excel sheet. Is there a way to do this? I looked for something in the export settings but didn't find it.

Hello Lighthouse_Foundation,

How about trying the Merge Pages feature on the Organize tab?

I have attached a brief video. Please refer to it if you like.

  • CapturedVideo.zip
By the way, as a comment to the person in charge of online help at the Tracker team, the online help at the following URL does not seem to have a link to a detailed page about Merge Pages.

    Click <span style="font-weight: bold;">Merge Pages </span>to merge split pages, as detailed <span style="font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;">here.</span></p>
Hoping that the above information will be of some help to you.

Best regards,
rakunavi

SOLVED: Can I combine (merge) several pages into one PDF document?

Post by Lighthouse_Foundation »

Yes rakunavi, that is what I was trying to do. I just had to set Pages per Sheet as Custom and make it 1 by 10 so that all 10 pages result in one page and then one sheet when exported to Excel. :D

I tried the Merge with a 6-page keyboard setup manual BUT the best part was that some of it being Chinese, I noticed / used EXTRACT to separate the English pages (3-4/6) = English only manual. Neat stuff .....
