I have a ".pdf" file created via "print pdf" from a CAD program (Microstation).
Some lines and some areas are colored. Also some hatchings.
How can I convert the complete pdf file into a black & white file (remove all color).
Cad file (.pdf) - All lines and areas black

Hi StreifLicht
thanks for the post.
Use the "Convert Colors" Tool on the "Convert" tab:
After processing you should no longer see colours in your PDF: That should give you what you are looking for.

Hi Paul, thanks for your feedback. Your solution works almost...
Only the yellow lines disappear after the conversion.
Can I influence the grayscale intensity? That it converts more to black than gray?

HI StreifLicht,
this only converts the base content. Perhaps the remaining colour is in annotations?
May we see the document in question perhaps? If it is sensitive and you prefer no to have it posted publicly here on the forum, you can always email it to support@pdf-xchange.com and we will destroy it after we are done.

Re: Cad file (.pdf) - All lines and areas black
Hello Streiflicht,
if it is a PDF printed from a CAD program, then it is probably (hopefully) a vector PDF.
This is easily converted to black and white by simply selecting all lines and then, using the Format tab or the Properties toolbar, changing the line color to black.
